Who demand automated implementation of mathematical models instead of attempting, failing, examining error messages, failing repeatedly, and ultimately understanding both the model and peripheral knowledge required for functionality. The failures constitute the curriculum. The error messages form the syllabus. Each hour spent confused represents hourly investment in constructing cognitive infrastructure that eventually enables original work. No shortcut exists through this process that doesn't diminish the individual emerging from it.
