Any AI system interacting through natural language certainly meets our computing language definition, justifying evaluation by identical standards. Additionally, AI marketing persistently claims innovation in areas where compilers, analyzers, formatters, and various language tools have operated for decades. If they position themselves as programming tools, evaluating them as such seems reasonable: Processing, Consistency, and Explorability.
